The Studio of Performing Arts - Springfield (SOPA) is the premier provider of Dance + Circus classes in Greater Springfield.  Offering ballet classes as well as jazz, tap, contemporary dance,  circus, acrobatics and musical theatre classes for students from 2 years of age to adult. In 2022, celebrating 16 years of helping Greater Springfield children grow through the Arts. Not just a dance school, SOPA students have the opportunity to learn circus skills alongside their nationally accredited ballet syllabus.

The Studio of Performing Arts - Springfield is proud to be the only dance school in Australia that is a registered provider of OSHC through their popular Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care program. Registered for 45 school aged children a day. Students are provided with high quality care with a high ratio of 1 educator to 11 children. The program caters to over 1000 students each year, giving them an active and creative school care program.

During each school term SOPA provides over 102 classes each week to more than 450 students through their School Term Program. Students have the opportunity to participate in Dance classes that can include Classical Ballet, Jazz, or Hip Hop exams with The Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD). In January of each year, students from Grade 3 and above can join Performance Teams, participating in local eisteddfods and performances during Term Two as well as two concerts a year. For those interested in furthering their Dance experience and becoming a qualified Dance Teacher, SOPA also offers a Certificate IV Dance Teaching & Management, study face-to-face with leaders in the field of Dance Education. Students must have completed their Elementary dance examinations or equivalent as a pre-requisiste to this course.
