The aim of Maa Sarada's Kitchen is to provide access to affordable and nutritious wholesome food, community connection & elevation of the mind in the peaceful surrounds of the Vedanta Centre, Springfield Lakes. Our vegetarian menu features Indian dishes made the traditional way such as idli, dosa, puri, vada, upma, samosa, pani puri, chai tea and lassi. Main meals come with sambar (spiced lentil gravy) or potato curry as well as coconut chutney. Prices range from $1 - $8. We have options for vegans and gluten free.

 

The kitchen is run by volunteers and all proceeds from our Saturday cafe support the charitable activities of the Vedanta Centre which includes a food relief service to the needy, yoga, meditation, educational workshops, a community garden, activities for children & youth and volunteer opportunities. The Vedanta Centre is a not-for-profit organisation supported by the generosity of the community.
